Michael B. Weinberg
Managing Director

Mr. Weinberg joined Levine Leichtman Capital Partners in 2008.  He is a dedicated member of the Firm’s Structured Equity investment team, focused on originations and due diligence activities.  Mr. Weinberg is based in LLCP's New York office.

Prior to joining LLCP, Mr. Weinberg was a Managing Director and founding partner of CastleHill Investment Management, an independent alternative investment firm focused on private capital, leveraged finance and credit opportunities. 

From 2004 through 2007, Mr. Weinberg was a Principal and senior investment professional of FriedbergMilstein, a $1.4 billion credit strategies business focused on the middle market.  He also served as the firm’s Chief Financial Officer and was responsible for fund structuring, portfolio management and other business development activities.

Prior to that, Mr. Weinberg spent seven years at BNP Paribas serving in several key roles within its Merchant Banking Group.  Most recently, he was a Vice President and Head of Portfolio Management for a $400 million private equity business focused on middle market equity co-investments and private equity fund investing.  Prior to that, he served as an investment analyst and the Chief Financial Officer for Paribas Capital Funding, a $750 million structured fund raised by Paribas to support its leveraged finance activities.

Mr. Weinberg began his career at Ernst & Young LLP, where he spent four years managing audit and consulting engagements for public and private entities across a variety of industries.

Mr. Weinberg is a graduate of Binghamton University with a B.S. in Accounting and received an M.B.A. from Columbia University.
