Mr. Kaufman joined Levine Leichtman Capital Partners in 2011. As a dedicated member of the Firm’s Structured Equity investment team, he is responsible for the due diligence and evaluation of new investment opportunities as well as for monitoring LLCP portfolio companies.
Prior to joining LLCP, Mr. Kaufman was a Senior Associate at Leeds Equity Partners, an education and business services-focused private equity fund based in New York, where he was responsible for the due diligence and evaluation of new investment opportunities as well as the monitoring of portfolio companies.
Prior to joining Leeds Equity, Mr. Kaufman spent three years in the Business & Technology Services Investment Banking Group at Robert W. Baird & Co. in Chicago. At Baird, Mr. Kaufman worked on a number of M&A transactions and equity financings in a variety of industries, including business and educational services, healthcare and consumer products.
Mr. Kaufman graduated with honors from the University of Colorado with a B.S. degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance.
